Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 358 each week. Donations have dropped by about 49% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bangkok market and keep every receipt. Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week. All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs. Where the $800 goes: • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $410 • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $160 • Baby formula and diapers: $140 • Refrigeration and electricity: $90 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Somsak

It's all in the list in the story. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is the big one at $410, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for asking.
