Feed 338 families each week at Community Pantry in Vancouver
The Community Pantry pantry in Vancouver is running low just as demand rises; $4,100 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 338 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 53% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Vancouver market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $4,100 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $2,250
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,100
• Baby formula and diapers: $400
• Refrigeration and electricity: $350
