Feed 324 families each week at Neighbors' Pantry in Amritsar
Priyanka runs a volunteer pantry feeding 324 families; this fund restocks shelves for the rainy season.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Monday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 324 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Amritsar market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $600 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $300
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $220
• Baby formula and diapers: $35
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
Thank you for reading my story.
