Help keep a free food pantry open for families and seniors in Entebbe.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 12 families, and now we feed 296 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 35% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Entebbe market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $185
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $115
• Baby formula and diapers: $70
• Refrigeration and electricity: $30
Every share and every dollar helps.

Thinking of you and your family. Hope you get there. Greetings from Fresno.
sending love, Okello. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Bursa so I could bring a meal.
