Feed 155 families each week at Community Pantry in Pune
The Community Pantry pantry in Pune is running low just as demand rises; $250 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Sunday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 14 families, and now we feed 155 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Pune market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $115
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $65
• Baby formula and diapers: $50
• Refrigeration and electricity: $20
Thank you for reading my story.

Sending love. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Kilkenny but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Kilkenny
You're not alone, Amit. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Take care.
So sorry you're going through this, Amit. Great idea, hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Pune.
