Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 9 families, and now we feed 147 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 36% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Faisalabad market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $400 goes:
• Refrigeration and electricity: $15
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $230
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $155
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

You're not alone. Hope this works out for you. My neighbor in Kolkata donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
You're not alone, Zainab. This could happen to any of us. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Wishing you the best, Zainab. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Greetings from Guarulhos.
wishing you peace, Zainab. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
Hang in there, Zainab. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best.
