Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Wednesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 123 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Coventry market and keep every receipt.
Each $50 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,100
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $780
• Baby formula and diapers: $260
• Refrigeration and electricity: $260
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Take care, Swati. Looking forward to the next update. I hope October is when things finally get easier.
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Swati
The list at the bottom is the whole picture. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) is the biggest at $1,100. Appreciate you taking the time.
sending love, Swati. I hope things turn around soon. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
So sorry you're going through this. Shared this with my family. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Sending strength, Swati. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Rohini.
