The Sycamore community hall needs a community garden - Heinz's neighborhood project
A community-led a community garden at the Sycamore community hall that will serve 281 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,150.
It will serve about 281 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,150 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $110
• Materials: $2,700
• Tools hire and delivery: $340
