Helene, my wife, passed away on 15 November after a long fight with kidney disease. She was 47 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,550 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 4 December. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Helene to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $3,550 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,000 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $750 • Transport of the deceased: $410 • Memorial gathering for the family: $390 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
