Sofía, my sister, passed away on 27 September after a road accident. She was 84 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $4,500 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 3 October. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Sofía to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt. Where the $4,500 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $2,150 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,800 • Transport of the deceased: $210 • Memorial gathering for the family: $340 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
