Lina was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in March. The surgeon at Berlin Orthopedic Institute recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $3,550, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $2,650 short.
my mother has been in and out of Berlin Orthopedic Institute since March. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $3,550 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Lina struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
