Irene, my wife, passed away on 13 August after a sudden heart attack. She was 61 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $900 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 1 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Irene to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Kampala hospice.
Where the $900 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $600
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $210
• Transport of the deceased: $50
• Memorial gathering for the family: $40
