Selim was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in August. The oncology team at the Istanbul Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Selim is 57, worked as a hairdresser until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Istanbul Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

Sure. The biggest one is scans and lab work, $290. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.
