Farewell fund for Hye-won: help Ji-woo's family in Seoul
After the sudden passing of Hye-won, the family is asking for help with the funeral home and burial costs.

Hye-won, my sister, passed away on 10 March after a short illness. She was 88 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,950 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 23 March.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Hye-won to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to the Seoul hospice.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $1,500
• Transport of the deceased: $310
• Memorial gathering for the family: $140

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Ji-woo.
Sure. The biggest one is funeral home services and casket, $1,500. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Let me know if you want more detail.
