A stair-climbing aid would give Tunde independence - we're $1,400 away.

Tunde lives with a spinal cord injury. The occupational therapist at the Lagos Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,400. His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks. With the right equipment Tunde could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered. Where the $1,400 goes: • stair-climbing aid: $1,300 • Fitting and training sessions: $20 • Delivery and set-up: $30 • First-year servicing plan: $50 Glad we found this place. - Jide

  • Rooting for you, Jide. Wishing Tunde a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 14 years in public service I know how hard it is to ask for anything.

    • Keep going, Jide. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Blessings.
