Family housing near the Dhaka Cancer Centre: 5 weeks
Looking for a host or low-cost room within 30 minutes of the Dhaka Cancer Centre.

My son Abdul has been accepted for treatment at the Dhaka Cancer Centre in Dhaka, starting on Thursday in February. We live 245 km away in a village four hours away, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself.
We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 5 weeks. Two of us would stay: Abdul and me. We can contribute $15 a week and cook for the household if you'd like.
Abdul will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
- effort
- 3–6 weeks
- format
- In person in Dhaka
- skills
- a spare room near the hospital

Sending love. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Hope it all works out, Joy. This could happen to any of us
Sending strength, Joy. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Santos.
Take care. Shared it with a few friends. Wish I lived closer to Anaheim so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
Take care, Joy. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest.
Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I went through something like this 7 years ago and strangers helped me out.

I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Narayanganj donated after I showed her your page. Greetings from Narayanganj!
