Is there a gas fitter who can donate a few hours in Coyoacán?

A gas fitter is needed to repair a burst pipe behind the wall at the home of a family of 6.

In March an inspector told me that my home has a burst pipe behind the wall. It's a safety risk for me and my three children. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $290 are beyond us. I'm looking for a licensed gas fitter who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $75. The job should take about four hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request. If you're a gas fitter and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Coyoacán

      • Stay strong, Gerardo. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Sent it to 36 people at work. Take care.

Stay strong. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Paris.
