My daughter Ishrat has been accepted for treatment at Sylhet Children's Hospital in Sylhet, starting on Monday in October. We live 222 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Ishrat and me. We can contribute $20 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Ishrat will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hope things get better soon, Tania. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care.

                    • Hang in there, Tania. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.

                      • Wishing you the best. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 15 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Sylhet.
