Emilia received an eviction notice - help us catch up on rent
After a car accident, Emilia is 3 months behind on rent and has a 10-day notice to quit from the landlord.

When the hotel closed in July, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Friday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $4,400.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by September, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $4,400 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $3,350
• Late fees and court costs: $310
• First month of rent as a buffer: $740
Glad we found this place.
