Emergency vet bill for Poppy in Ottawa
Poppy, Wesley's dog, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $1,850.

Poppy is my dog of nine years. On 14 August we rushed to Ottawa Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends orthopedic surgery, and the estimate came to $1,850.
They have stabilized Poppy, but the treatment can't wait beyond October.
Poppy is more than a pet - Poppy got me through my hardest year. I have already put $110 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Ottawa Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Poppy's recovery.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Hospitalization (4 nights): $490
• Medication and follow-up visits: $330
• Emergency surgery: $1,030
