The old Unity bus depot needs a playground - Mulyadi's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Jakarta Selatan are raising $450 for a playground at the old Unity bus depot.
🇮🇩 Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia135 views
For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Unity bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 344 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $80
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Materials: $335
With deep gratitude,
Mulyadi

Rooting for you, Mulyadi. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together.
Sending love, Mulyadi. More neighborhoods should do this. Put this on a community board in Corpus Christi this morning
You're not alone, Mulyadi. Great idea, hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Lowell this morning. All the best!
