Emergency vet bill for Hazel in San Francisco

Hazel is my cat of two years. On 6 June we rushed to the San Francisco Emergency Vet Clinic with a ruptured cruciate ligament. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $1,850. They have stabilized Hazel, but the treatment can't wait beyond August. Hazel is more than a pet - Hazel is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $270 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to the San Francisco Emergency Vet Clinic's charity fund for other animals.
