I coordinate donations at Liberty Refugee Centre in Lansing. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Lansing, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Liberty Refugee Centre on Saturday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Liberty Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Ikeja but we're thinking of you. Take care.

    • Take care. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Thủ Đức.

      • sending good thoughts. Shared this with my family. Greetings from Makati.
