Donate a coat: Mercedes is collecting for 106 families
Coats, boots, hats and gloves are needed before the cold snap.

I coordinate donations at Jacaranda Women's Shelter in Toledo. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes toddler through teen. If you're in Toledo, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Jacaranda Women's Shelter on Wednesday between 10am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Jacaranda Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
