The water account is 3 months behind. Theophilus received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before an unexpected car repair.
Theophilus called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through winter without water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Theophilus is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
