Help Lavanya restart a fish stall in Nashik after a break-in
Lavanya has run a fish stall for twelve years; a break-in destroyed the equipment, and $600 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a fish stall in Nashik. In June, a break-in took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $600 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $320
• Initial stock: the first catch: $115
• Shop repairs and licensing: $45
• Working capital for the first month: $120
Thanks for being kind about this.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Lavanya.
Sending good thoughts, Lavanya. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Keep going. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Iași but we're thinking of you.
