Don't let Nnamdi's family go through the cold months without water

A disconnection notice for water arrived and Nnamdi needs $100 before December.

The water account is 4 months behind. Nnamdi received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on December unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before my partner leaving the household. Nnamdi called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $15 first, which isn't available. The household includes two young children, and going through the cold months without water isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home. Nnamdi is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $100 goes: • Water arrears: $35 • Reconnection and late fees: $20 • Down payment on a payment plan: $45 Thank you so much. - Paul

  • I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. We're a small family in Makati but we're thinking of you. All the best!

    • Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Xalapa but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Badagry.

      • Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 13 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything

Thinking of you and your family. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. After 19 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
