A solar-powered water pump for Baobab Park: help our neighbors in Dharan
A community-led a solar-powered water pump at Baobab Park that will serve 334 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Park, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 334 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Materials: $130
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
