The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless I pay $150. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $35 first, which I don't have. I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the rainy season without electricity and water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Lovely's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $150 goes: • Electricity arrears: $60 • Reconnection and late fees: $30 • Down payment on a payment plan: $60 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
