Don't let Burcu's family go through the cold months without electricity
Burcu is behind on electricity bills after a reduction in hours and needs $250 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on June unless I pay $250. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $45 first, which I don't have.
I live with a disabled brother, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $250 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $165
• Reconnection and late fees: $30
• Down payment on a payment plan: $55

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. electricity arrears comes first ($165) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
