I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying an agriculture degree at Bhaktapur Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $800. The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility. I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student. The payment will go directly to the Bhaktapur Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $800 goes: • Outstanding tuition balance: $310 • Final term tuition: $410 • Exam and lab fees: $30 • Textbooks and materials: $50 Every share and every dollar helps.

    • Hope it all works out, Dipesh. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Aurangabad!

      • Wishing you the best, Dipesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings.

Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Don't give up.

          • Rooting for you, Dipesh. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
