Bruno is my dog of eleven years. On 2 July we rushed to Duque de Caxias Veterinary Centre with a broken leg after a road accident. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $950. They have stabilized Bruno, but the treatment can't wait beyond September. Bruno is more than a pet - Bruno is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $105 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan. Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back. If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Duque de Caxias Veterinary Centre's charity fund for other animals.
