Deepak's path to healing - EMDR therapy in Kolkata
Deepak is working through a long hospital stay and needs help paying for 24 sessions with a licensed counselor.
🇮🇳 Kolkata, West Bengal, India1,861 views
After a long hospital stay, Deepak has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred him to EMDR therapy, but the public waiting list is 9 months, and private sessions at a private practice in Kolkata cost $15 each.
Deepak has been honest with his employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support.
Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Deepak could afford. The therapist recommends 24 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference.
Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Deepak, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment.
Funds cover only therapy sessions, and I'll share progress updates (not private details) if I'm comfortable.
Where the $300 goes:
• 24 therapy sessions: $240
• Psychiatric assessment: $45
• Workbook and resources: $15
Thank you so much.

Take care. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Kolkata.
Take care, Nisha. Hope the doctors have good news. We're a small family in San Jose but we're thinking of you
Sending good thoughts, Nisha. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Greetings from Phuket.
So sorry you're going through this, Nisha. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Kolkata.
Hang in there. I hope things turn around soon. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings.
