Darunee needs a freezer and scales to reopen a fish stall
Darunee has run a fish stall for twelve years; floodwater destroyed the equipment, and $750 will put it back on its feet.

For twelve years I have run a fish stall in Bangkok. In July, floodwater took a freezer and scales. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Tuesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $750 goes:
• Replacing a freezer and scales: $450
• Initial stock: the first catch: $140
• Shop repairs and licensing: $75
• Working capital for the first month: $85
I hope life is good to you.

how is Darunee doing now?
Stay strong, Darunee. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. God bless.

Small businesses are the heart of Bangkok. Hope you're open again soon
Thanks for sharing this, Darunee. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
