Get Mekonnen back on the road: my food truck repair fund
Without my food truck Mekonnen can't work; a $200 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my food truck. 7 weeks ago the rear axle failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $200. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $200 goes:
• rear axle replacement (parts): $105
• Labor charges: $30
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $40
• Towing and inspection: $25
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

How is Mekonnen doing now?
gave what I could, wish it was more. Sent it to 26 people at work.
Sending good thoughts, Mekonnen. Hope the shop reopens soon. My neighbor in Flint donated after I showed her your page
