Last September I went through a divorce, and I'm now raising a teenage son and a daughter in primary school on my own. I work as a cleaner, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a bookkeeper in the evenings, which will triple my income by January, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Every cent is accounted for. I'll share a simple monthly breakdown.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Groceries and school meals: $350
• Rent top-up: $1,050
• Course fees and exam costs: $600
If you're reading this, thank you.

sending good thoughts. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. God bless.
Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless!
Stay strong. Looking forward to the next update. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Bonny!
Stay strong, Cristina. Hope you get there. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from San Jose
Hang in there, Cristina. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. After 28 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Bhopal.
