Cooper's final semester of a law degree in El Paso
Cooper has worked and saved for five years to study a law degree; a $1,600 gap now stands between him and graduation.

Cooper is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a law degree at El Paso University, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,600.
The registrar has said Cooper can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Cooper has a 3.8 average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Cooper would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Cooper isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the El Paso University bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Exam and lab fees: $140
• Textbooks and materials: $185
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,275
