Companionship wanted: Uwe's crossword puzzles and a cup of tea
Uwe lives alone and has no family nearby; a weekly hour of conversation would transform the week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Uwe, who's 73. Uwe lives alone in Berlin, and lost a lifelong friend last year. The nearest family lives several hours away.
Uwe loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Thank you so much.

Praying for you, Stefan. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Abbottabad.
