Companionship wanted: Seo-jun's crossword puzzles and a cup of tea

I'm writing for my neighbor Seo-jun, who's 78. Seo-jun lives alone in San Diego, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Seo-jun loves crossword puzzles, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Wednesday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
