Companionship wanted: Halima's local history and a cup of tea

Looking for a friendly person in Arusha to visit Halima once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Halima, who's 74. Halima lives alone in Arusha, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country. Halima loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Sunday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. Thank you so much.

  • You're not alone. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Love from Narayanganj.

    • Hang in there, Mussa. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings

          • hope things get better soon, Mussa. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care
