Clean water and shade for Mysuru: restoring the Cedar wetland
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Cedar wetland needs $300 for saplings and equipment.

The Cedar wetland has been used as an informal dump for years. This May, 74 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 130 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
Funds buy saplings, gloves, bags, hire of a skip, and signage.
Where the $300 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $165
• Tools and protective gear: $50
• Waste removal and skip hire: $45
• Signage and educational materials: $40
With deep gratitude,
Shivam

Keep going. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in Corpus Christi this morning. Thinking of Mysuru.
More neighborhoods should do this. We're a small family in București but we're thinking of you. Blessings!
