Carmen needs a gas stove and two refrigerators to reopen a street-food cart
A street-food cart in La Plata needs help replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators after the demolition of the market.
🇦🇷 La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina2,080 views
For twelve years I have run a street-food cart in La Plata. In July, the demolition of the market took a gas stove and two refrigerators. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $850 goes:
• Replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators: $530
• Working capital for the first month: $200
• Initial stock: ingredients: $120
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

best of luck, Carmen. This could happen to any of us. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care
Stay strong, Carmen. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Jakarta Selatan
Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Augsburg this morning
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Carmen.
It's all in the list in the story. replacing a gas stove and two refrigerators is the big one at $530, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
Sending good thoughts. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Please keep us posted. All the best.
Sending strength. Small businesses are the heart of La Plata. Hope you're open again soon. God bless
