Water shut-off notice: help Eleanor pay $700
A disconnection notice for water arrived and Eleanor needs $700 before November.

The water account is 2 months behind. Eleanor received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $700 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Eleanor called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $75 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the rainy season without water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Eleanor is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $700 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $440
• Reconnection and late fees: $130
• Down payment on a payment plan: $130

Good news. Because of your gifts ($24 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Hang in there, Samantha. This could happen to any of us. God bless
Thanks for sharing this. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Nagpur.
thanks for sharing this. This could happen to any of us. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
Keep going, Samantha. Hope this works out for you. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
