Care for Yinka, 83: help cover a carer and medication in Lagos
Help Yinka stay in his own home with four months of part-time care.
🇳🇬 Nigeria1,501 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 83. After a heart attack Yinka can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Yinka desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Yinka worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $550 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $55
• Part-time carer (four months): $430
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $65
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Rooting for you. I hope things turn around soon. I hope December is when things finally get easier.
Rooting for you, Sade. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. God bless
Gave what I could, wish it was more. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
