Care for Peace, 80: help cover a carer and medication in Ibadan
Peace, 80, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $450 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 80. After worsening Parkinson's disease Peace can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Peace desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Peace worked all of her life as a factory worker, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $450 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $320
• Medication and prescriptions: $50
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $25
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $55
I hope life is good to you.

So sorry you're going through this. Your post was clear and honest. Sent it to 39 people at work.
Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Ibadan
