Acacia Primary School needs a playground - Waqas's neighborhood project
Volunteers in Faisalabad are raising $400 for a playground at Acacia Primary School.
🇵🇰 Punjab, Pakistan1,426 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $105, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 554 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $290
• Permits and inspections: $45
• Safety equipment and signage: $45
• Tools hire and delivery: $20

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Waqas
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. materials comes first ($290) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks for asking.
Thanks for sharing this, Waqas. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Love from Savar!
Hope it all works out, Waqas. More neighborhoods should do this. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Reims.
Good luck. Great idea, hope you get there. Greetings from Santa Fe.
Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. I have a 10 year old who wants to send good wishes too. God bless.
