Care for Olivia, 83: help cover a carer and medication in London
Help Olivia stay in her own home with eight months of part-time care.
🇬🇧 England, United Kingdom5,821 views
I'm caring for my mother, who's 83. After a stroke last November Olivia can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Olivia desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Olivia worked all of her life as a shopkeeper, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,400 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $4,000
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $210
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $190
Glad we found this place.
