I'm caring for my father, who's 76. After a stroke last August Mussa can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Mussa desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Mussa worked all of his life as a factory worker, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices. Where the $600 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $105 • Part-time carer (six months): $410 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $85 With deep gratitude, Imani

Updates from Imani

  1. Small update. $40 so far, I met with the care agency and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Thank you all. We're at 5% now ($30). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward part-time carer.

  3. We're at 3% thanks to 2 of you. I made the first payment toward hospital bed and mattress rental. More news soon.
