Care for Jose, 79: help cover a carer and medication in Manchester
Jose, 79, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $2,400 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 79. After worsening Parkinson's disease Jose can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Jose desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Jose worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $2,400 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $570
• Part-time carer (four months): $1,400
• Medication and prescriptions: $430
