I'm caring for my mother, who's 91. After worsening Parkinson's disease Esperanza can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Esperanza desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Esperanza worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices. Where the $1,050 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $130 • Part-time carer (four months): $870 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it. - Consuelo

        • Keep going. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I went through something like this 10 years ago and strangers helped me out!
